What’s New at the 2014 Metropolitan Lawn & Garden Show

While we may still be in the midst of winter weather here in Kansas City, spring will be here before we know it. Now is the perfect time to start thinking about improving your landscaping and outdoor living spaces. And the Metropolitan Lawn and Garden Show, taking place February 7-9 at the American Royal Center, is the perfect place to get started.

The Metropolitan Lawn and Garden Show is the largest consumer show in the region dedicated to outdoor living, drawing in more than 30,000 consumers each year. This event is a great opportunity to check out the latest products and services and learn about the latest trends for 2014.  Local experts, including Supreme Green Landworks, will be on hand to share their expertise on how to make the most of your outdoor living space. Products and services exhibited include landscaping, power equipment, statuary, lawn maintenance, water gardens and related accessories, decks, plants and bulbs, seeds, outdoor furniture, outdoor décor, stonework, hardscaping, fountains, gazebos, fencing, tools, and more.

Highlights of the show include:

  • Water Gardens: Snapshots of Nature – The Water Garden Society of Greater Kansas City and House of Rocks will collaborate to build a freestanding water garden to showcase the aspects and benefits of water gardening.
  • Orchid Show – The Orchid Society of Greater Kansas City will have a juried orchid show during the event. The show will also include rare orchid species and hybrids from around the world.
  • The Pet Pavilion – The Pet Pavilion focuses on products that improve and optimize your pet’s health, safety, and happiness.

In addition to local experts, the Metropolitan Lawn and Garden Show will also include several celebrity appearances, including carpenter and artist Ty Pennington, host of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition; Chris Lambton and Peyton Wright, hosts of HGTV’s Going Yard; and reptile expert Danny Conner.

Your ticket to the Metropolitan Lawn and Garden Show will also grant you access to the KC Remodeling Show, which is taking place simultaneously, at no additional cost. The two shows will feature more than 500 exhibitors, including Supreme Green Landworks.
